Our purpose is to worship and serve our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and we simply want to share His love in word and deed with everyone. We aim to do this by caring for each other and by serving the needs of our community.

We are very excited to be advertising the position of our next Vicar. 

​

The relevant advert will appear/ appears in the appropriate Diocesan channels and also in the  Church Times in the first week of November.  The closing date will be mid- December with interviews happening mid January. 

​

This is wonderful news and we are praying and planning with hope and expectation.  We are a happy, welcoming  and outgoing church family and we love and are deeply committed to the village communities in Dunton Green and Riverhead who it’s our privilege to serve. 

​

It will fantastic to again have a vicar who will join us and work with us and encourage us and lead us - and love us too, we hope!  

​

We, in our turn will welcome them enthusiastically into our church family and love and  pray for them as they work and serve alongside us 💙🙏🏻

Upcoming Events

 

All Souls’service

Sunday  November 1  3 pm - a quiet and thoughtful service followed by tea and cake - to remember and give thanks for lost loved ones. 

 

Remembrance Sunday

Following our 9.30am service we join with the Parish Councils of both Dunton Green and Riverhead at separate Acts of Remembrance

 

• Riverhead - outside the village hall next door to St Mary’s Church - at 10.45am

• Dunton Green - outside the Village Hall - at 10.55am (where we are joined by the Scouts, Cubs and Beavers) 

 

Christmas Tree Festival. 

December 5 and 6. Do come to this wonderful,  magical Festival! Every year we have a fantastic display of decorated trees provided by local firms, shops, schools, charities and other organisations, including individuals and families.

We would love it if you wanted to contribute a tree yourself but please do  come and join us and enjoy the marvellous display. 

 

We conclude the festival with a lovely informal carol service - Carols amidst the Trees on the Sunday afternoon at 3.30pm. Contact the events team. More details also here.
